Job description

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be primarily responsible for executing payments to suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Make payments in the various relevant systems (bank transfer, online payment on supplier's platform, etc.).
  • Record payments in accounting software.
  • Ensure that payment discounts are maximized.
  • Validate that the amount of payment to be made matches the supporting documents.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end processes.
  • Follow up on credit requests placed with suppliers and their accounting.
  • Contact suppliers if needed.
  • Any other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • DEP in accounting or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Computer skills and experience with accounting software.
  • Autonomous, reliable and rigorous.
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail and precision.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Integrity and sense of ethics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and results-oriented.
  • Enjoys teamwork.
  • Good knowledge of the Office 365 suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Bilingualism (asset).
  • Experience in the distribution sector or a family-owned SME (asset).
